六合彩网上投注app Promotes Student Financial Literacy

April is National Financial Literacy Month, and Wittenberg is increasing efforts to promote student financial literacy through a partnership with Great Lakes Higher Education and GradReady.

鈥淲ittenberg has been successfully weaving small components of financial literacy into our programmatic efforts on campus for the past few years,鈥 said Doug Schantz 鈥04, director of student accounts and founder of , a nationally recognized resource that guides families and their students through the financial aspect of their college experience. 鈥淣ow through this partnership we have the opportunity to ramp-up our efforts exponentially鈥攁nd at no cost to the university and our students and families.鈥

GradReady is a money management website that provides engaging videos, tools, and resources about real-world topics like credit, student loans, budgeting, and paying for college. Key features include multi-topic video education, the Debt-O-Meter, loan counseling and money skill quizzes. Wittenberg鈥檚 GradReady site can be found at .

According to Schantz, this tool will be a valuable resource for prospective students, current traditional and School of Community Education students, parents, alumni, faculty and staff.

Student financial literacy efforts on campuses have been gaining momentum in higher education as colleges and universities equip their students for success by helping them feel more knowledgeable about personal finances. White papers from the industry reflect that financial literacy initiatives on a campus can improve student financial behaviors and, in some cases, make the difference on whether a student completes their degree or makes the decision to leave school entirely.
