2014 Celebration of Learning

六合彩网上投注app Presents Second Annual Celebration of Learning April 11

Springfield, Ohio 鈥 With spring just around the corner, 六合彩网上投注app prepares for the second annual Celebration of Learning, a campus-wide showcase of student talent from every department, held throughout the day Friday, April 11, 2014 across campus.

Event co-organizers Professor of History Amy Livingstone and Assistant Professor of Sociology explain that the Celebration is an important way to demonstrate and commemorate student talent. The event includes research presentations, poster presentations and various performances.

鈥淭he Celebration of Learning celebrates what Wittenberg, as a liberal arts college, is all about: approaching topics from a variety of inter-disciplinary perspectives,鈥 Livingstone said. 鈥淚t benefits students by allowing them to present their research, talk about their internship experiences or perform their strengths.鈥

Designed last year as a way to celebrate the inauguration of President Laurie M. Joyner, the event was so well received that it will continue virtually unchanged this year.

The event preludes the annual Honors Convocation, which will be held at 4 p.m. in Weaver Chapel. The entire day brings students, staff and faculty together in appreciation of the year鈥檚 academic work.

鈥淭he Celebration of Learning is terrific for us as a community because we congregate to celebrate the achievements of our students,鈥 said Livingstone.
