It鈥檚 六合彩网上投注app鈥檚 175th birthday on March 11, and the University is already celebrating its founding with several activities, including the upcoming Commit to Witt 24-hour day of giving on March 11.

鈥淲e decided to move our annual Commit to Witt to the actual day of our founding this year to honor our heritage and celebrate our mission in a way that deeply connects our alumni and friends back to Wittenberg,鈥 said Rebecca Kocher, vice president for advancement and alumni engagement. 鈥淥ur goal is to generate $175,000 in one day, and excitement is already growing about the opportunity to support Wittenberg and serve as our ambassadors during the day.鈥

Leveraging a crowdfunding platform, Commit to Witt will offer several options to match the various philanthropic interests of those participating. Areas for support include the Wittenberg Fund, the new Wittenberg Opportunity Fund, faculty development, endowed positions, diversity and inclusion, Tiger Club, a class scholarship, campus ministries, and multiple other avenues. Individuals can make their gifts early and/or sign up to be an ambassador during the day by visiting .

As for additional programming in honor of #Witt175, the year kicked off with a YouTube Live conversation featuring President Michael Frandsen, Kocher, Wittenberg Board member Janet E. Jackson, class of 1975, and student Kari Truax, class of 2020. Activities continued in February with a special I (Heart) Witt engagement campaign aimed at getting 175 reasons why alumni #LOVEWITT. More programming is underway moving into the spring season with a huge birthday bash slated for Homecoming & Reunion Weekend, Oct. 2-4, 2020.

Throughout the annual Commit to Witt day, participants will share Wittenberg stories on social media while supporting the University. Please consider making a gift as a way to pass Wittenberg鈥檚 light on to current and future Wittenberg students.

About Wittenberg

Wittenberg's curriculum has centered on the liberal arts as an education that develops the individual's capacity to think, read, and communicate with precision, understanding, and imagination. We are dedicated to active, engaged learning in the core disciplines of the arts and sciences and in pre-professional education grounded in the liberal arts. Known for the quality of our faculty and their teaching, Wittenberg has more Ohio Professors of the Year than any four-year institution in the state. The university has also been recognized nationally for excellence in community service, sustainability, and intercollegiate athletics. Located among the beautiful rolling hills and hollows of Springfield, Ohio, Wittenberg offers more than 100 majors, minors and special programs, enviable student-faculty research opportunities, a unique student success center, service and study options close to home and abroad, a stellar athletics tradition, and successful career preparation.
