We speak and interact with each other via language, both written and oral. Our conversations are grounded in the history of our own experiences and the experiences of the world around us. We find faith or the lack of it, as we search for understanding and meaning whether keeping the sabbath going to church or, to paraphrase Emily Dickinson, by staying at home.
All of these experiences are ours and are shared, they are not the purview only of academics but part of the lived experience of each one of us. Humanities Thrives: The Public Humanities Podcast is a way to highlight individuals鈥 vision of the humanities and its impact on Springfield and the Clark County community. These individuals and their commitment to the humanities make the points that, far from dying, the humanities in Springfield and Clark County are thriving!
Humanities Thrives: The Public Humanities Podcast is an initiative of the Ermarth media interns (Gabrielle Doty 鈥23 and Allie Miller 鈥25).
